Materials

Natural materials. Crafted with consideration and care.

We’re ambitious about the way we produce, and we try to show the utmost consideration and care with regards to the supply chain, our materials and the development of the objects themselves. We’re not there yet, but we’re getting closer.

All our products are produced in Europe. We produce by demand, and we don’t buy bulk. We strive to ensure that all our products be constructed from one material in order to make recycling as easy as possible.

We want our materials to be durable and natural. All our objects should be sustainable by design, made to last for generations to come.

Calacatta marble

Calacatta marble (from Italy) is a classic stone. The dark veining against the white backdrop varies from clear red to dark shades of purple, resulting in expressions that vary greatly and are distinctly unique.

Calacatta marble is a durable material that will last for generations, as can be seen in the many legendary buildings and sculptures that feature it.

Our marble is honed, leaving a soft matte sheen to its exterior.

Travertine

Travertine is a fine Italian limestone, and one of the most frequently used stones in modern architecture.

We use travertine in its raw state to let its true nature to shine through. This means that some of our objects in travertine will show the layering and the characteristic gaps of the limestone more than others.

Travertine is a highly durable material sure to last generations.

Brass

We use untreated satin-polished brass that ages beautifully over time. It’s easy to polish brass, but if you choose not to, don’t worry - your brass will patinate beautifully with a dark, aged appearance. This is how we prefer it, but as always, your mileage may vary. Brass gives a weighty sense of quality to any object, and the material is known for its use in everything from instruments to large-scale architecture.
